Trademark registration costs: reading a quotation
A useful trademark quotation separates professional fees, government charges and taxes, and states how many marks and classes are covered.
Define the filing scope
Clarify whether the proposed word mark, logo or both are included. Confirm the applicant category and goods or services classes before accepting an estimate.
Ask what happens after filing
Does the fee cover application preparation only, or also follow-up work? Ask separately about objections, responses, hearings and opposition-related work. Do not assume all later proceedings are included.
Keep a written comparison
Compare quotations for the same scope. Record government charges separately and verify the applicable official fee schedule. Keep receipts, filing details and agreed exclusions.
General educational information, not case-specific advice. Confirm current requirements with the relevant authority and assigned professional.
